Riverside still has on display much memorabilia from the time it was the Te Kuiti Gentlemen’s Club. We also have a display of historic photos of Te Kuiti, local and international shearing icons.

Riverside is the meeting venue for the Altrusa Club on the first Tuesday of each month and North King Country Young Farmers on the first and third Wednesday evenings.

Te Kuiti is a town where many pioneering legends come from. Fondly known as the shearing capital of New Zealand, Te Kuiti is a small town located just a short drive from the world famous Waitomo Caves, in the Waikato region. A huge statue of a shearer with a sheep dominates the landscape at the southern end of the town.

Te Kuiti has a great small community vibe, with friendly locals and a rich culture. The prime time to visit Te Kuiti is in autumn when Te Kuiti puts on the Great NZ Muster, normally held the weekend after Easter each year.

The place to eat when you visit is the Riverside.

We also operate a courtesy coach to get you home safely at the end of your wonderful evening.
